The new Pangolin Chobe Hotel, which opened last year just in time to receive guests on our September Uniquely Chobe safari, has been named ‘Best New Hotel in Africa’ in the prestigious World Travel Awards. With its sweeping roof, shaped to look like the animal after which Pangolin Photo is named, its stunning wildlife photo gallery, its contemporary boutique hotel feel and its friendly, helpful staff, we weren’t surprised to learn that the hotel had received top honours.

We’ve worked with the Pangolin Photo team responsible for the new hotel since we began running photo safaris in Botswana in 2016, so it’s great to see their hard work, passion for photography-led travel and innovative design ideas receive their just deserts.

Our photo safari guests certainly enjoy the welcome reception they get throughout their stay at this unique hotel as well as the focus on all-things photographic.  We’re looking forward to returning there next month with another group of guests on our latest safari on Africa’s mighty Chobe river.

Congratulations to the whole Pangolin Photo team!
