We’re UK-based wildlife photographers with a passion for Africa, its wildlife and wild places. We spend several months each year photographing in African game parks and have been visiting for 20 years, so we’ve plenty of experience in safari photography. We run numerous photo workshops, have written books about how to capture better wildlife photographs and have lectured to degree students on the subject, so we’re well placed to help you with advice and tips and ensure you get the maximum return from all the wonderful photo opportunities our safaris offer.
Before becoming full time photographers we were both senior magazine journalists and we continue to have a deep interest in telling stories through words and pictures. We’ve written and photographed hundreds of articles for dozens of magazines and newspapers around the world, and we’ve campaigned on important conservation issues such as rhino poaching. Our work has appeared in countless photography and wildlife magazines including premium titles such as National Geographic and BBC Wildlife.
Our adventures in photography started after a visit to the Kalahari while on sabbatical from our nine-to-five existence in London. On return we ditched our day jobs and completely switched careers. We’ve never looked back. When we’re not in the wilds of Africa with our cameras you can find us at home on the edge of Kielder Forest in the wilds of Northumberland National Park.
